Winter Newsletter 2024/2025

Introduction from Ian Ross – Chief Executive Officer

This year has been a year of change and uncertainties with a General Election, and new Government in both Westminster and Cardiff Bay, resulting in key decisions on funding being held up. This makes it incredibly difficult to plan ahead, such as not knowing what is going to happen in six months’ time let alone a year ahead.
Nevertheless, we have weathered the turbulent waters and supported 5,344 participants in the last year. Since we started in 2012, we have now supported 16,837 individuals.
This year saw us expand into Wiltshire, Surrey and Hampshire, grow our staff team to 126 employees and increase our turnover by 28%.
I am grateful to our dedicated staff and stakeholders who enable us to support record numbers of participants to access our skills, employability, and family support provision.

This edition covers the following topics,

  • Staff Retreat and Awards
  • Health and Wellbeing Support for Employment
  • Reducing Youth Unemployment in Wales
  • Adult Education Second Chance
  • Quickstart Programme
  • Parenting Support with Neurodiversity
  • Programme Impact
  • Our Partners and Commissioners
