Who is the course suitable for?

These qualifications are aimed at anyone who wants to live a more independent life, progress in education and/or their employment prospects; get into a job, develop on the job or move onto the next job, as they progress along the career ladder.

Course content

Specific units will be selected from the wider award, to suit the individual’s work readiness and choice of vocational direction.

  • Planning for progression
  • Effective communication
  • Career progression
  • Working as part of a team
  • Contribute to own healthy living
  • Self assessment and development
  • Introduction to alcohol awareness
  • Awareness of stress and stress management
  • Using cooking skills in the domestic kitchen
  • The customer service experience
